3 Cost-Effective Ways to Watch All Your Favorite TV Shows and Movies on DVD

Nowadays almost every film and TV series becomes available on DVD at some point. However buying all your favorite DVDs can become extremely expensive. So what are the most cost-effective ways of enjoying all your favorite TV shows and films on DVD?

Well there are three main ways you can do so. The first way you can save money is to rent out all your favorites rather than buy them. DVD rental services are very generously priced, particularly online, so this is a very affordable way of watching all your favorite films and TV shows. You simply pay a small monthly membership charge, browse the rental company's website, select your chosen titles, and then they will be delivered to your door within a few days. This should work out a lot cheaper in the long run, particularly if you don't intend to watch certain DVDs over and over again.

If you do prefer to buy DVDs, then there are two remaining cost-saving options. Firstly you can simply wait for several months before buying your chosen title(s). This is because they are always more expensive when they are first released so by waiting at least six months, you should be able to buy them at a much cheaper price, both online and in the shops.

The final way is to use one of the many price comparison websites. These are extremely useful and best of all they are completely free. You simply type in the title of the DVD that interests you and you will immediately be presented with a list of different retailers and their respective prices for that title. So you can instantly see which retailer is selling it for the cheapest price.

It may surprise you how much price variation there is between the different retailers. For instance one retailer could be selling a box set of a particular TV show for $150 for example, whilst another could be selling it for just $60. So it definitely pays to shop around, and it's also a good idea to check these price comparison sites on a daily basis because retailers are always changing their prices and running special promotions at various times.

So to sum up, if you don't have a large budget to spend on buying all your favorite movies and TV shows on DVD, then your best bet is to simply wait several months until they get cheaper or use price comparison sites to find the cheapest prices. Otherwise you could simply choose to rent them out instead of buying them.
