Garmin Lithion Ion Battery for 500 & 550 Portable GPS Navigator
Customer Review: If you carry your Nuvi around with you, you will want this battery
I bought this battery to go with my Nuvi 500. I already own a Nuvi 750 but this battery is one of the reasons that I bought the 500. Unlike most other Nuvi's (and most other automotive GPS receivers) the 500 and the 550 have a user interchangeable battery (the 880 does as well). If you use your GPS primarily in your car this is not a big deal. However, my favorite thing about the Nuvi's is that I can carry them in my pocket as I explore a new city or ever a park or wildlife area. I even have a bicycle mount for it. My 750 only gave me about 3 hours of use before it had to be recharged. Although I am not getting the "up to 8 hours" of power that the manufacturer suggests for the 500 I am getting a solid 5 hours of use with the backlight set at 50%. If I still want more, that's where this battery comes in. A quick switch and I have another 5 hours of GPS guidance. Thank you Garmin for adding this feature to your latest GPS units! Magellan Maestro 5310 5-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator
Customer Review: Magellan Maestro 5310
I love this GPS. The big 5" screen is readable from the back seat. I can get lost anywhere and anytime and still get back home with no problem. It's very easy to use...nothing complicated at all. I had OnStar but that became to costly. I highly recommend the Magellan Maestro 5310 to anyone who is in the market for a GPS. You won't be sorry.
Customer Review: A wonderful, large-screen GPS
This great GPS got me out of Atlanta at 4:30pm the Friday of Memorial day weekend. Yes the interstates were virtual parking lots, but the live traffic subscription was an absolute marvel at re-routing me around the worst traffic jams I've ever seen in my life. In my home city which I know like the back of my hand, it has shown me how wrong my assumptions have been all these years. My non-techie wife loves this GPS. You can read the specs for yourself. What's wrong with the 5310? Sometimes the audible voice says turn left when she should have said turn RIGHT. But the display always accompanies every turn with a clear graphic arrow, and the arrow is always correct. Always double check voice prompts with the display and follow the arrow on the display when she gets confused. If your destination in a large plaza, being a slave to the GPS directions may take you thru a few "make a legal U-turn as soon as possible" prompts as the GPS is geared to street addresses, and not individual stores in a giant plaza. Also this unit consumes large chunks of power, so don't go without plugging it in for more than 45 minutes or so. Also, don't attempt subscription or map upgrades unless the unit has been fully charged. Also, don't let curious little hands hold the GPS unless you've backed up all the addresses you've entered. One of our grandkids pressed the "reset" button on our 5310 and all our data when bye-bye. Also, I bought a hard-shell storage case with the unit and have faithfully kept the GPS in that case when not on our dashboard. Never had a lick of trouble from the unit. One other word of advice. Only use the OEM car power cord for mobile use. Forget custom wiring a power cable to tidy up. The OEM cord has built-in power conditioning and a fuse to regulate the power to the unit. Using anything but the supplied cord voids the warranty of the 5310. Customer service will NOT tell you what voltage regulation is in the cable, either. BIG deal. All these foibles are minor compared to what this GPS will do for you. I would have no qualms about driving into any strange city with this GPS. It's like having a local resident sitting with you. Better than that, a local for each neighborhood you happen to be in at any given place in that city. Example: Rented a beach house for the whole family for a week. Car brakes failed and had to fix them at a strange dealership. Took the GPS in another family car for the 4 hours we were stuck. Where's the nearest grocery store? The GPS took us there quickly. Where the nearest bookstore? It took us there next. Then a Costco, then a branch of our bank, then straight to a nice restaurant we'd looked up. OK, now back to pick up the fixed car... no problem. We went directly to each of these locations as though we'd always lived there. Just unbelievable. Learn to work around the minor flaws, and you'll be very pleased with this large display GPS.

TomTom ONE XL-S 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Text-to-Speech (Factory Refurbished)
Customer Review: Cool gadget, can't beat the Amazon price.
This Tomtom isn't an especially advanced GPS as compared to many, but it works just as it's supposed to and costs just over refurbished. I've always had great luck with refurbished electronics and this is no exception. Tomtom also has a lot of free online user map updates and other features that allow you to customize your Tomtom. The only addition that I would really like to see made available to us would be a woman's voice with a southern accent - "Tun lef jus up ahead, suga." The yank voices are difficult for us southerners to understand sometimes. We have used our new Tomtom on a couple of trips to unfamiliar cities and it has performed flawlessly. The speech technology is a vast improvement over the previous model in that now when we are in downtown areas where the streets are close together we know exactly where to turn rather than having to sometimes guess. This product would get a five-star rating, instead of four, if the Tomtom map update online service was either free or much less expensive. By my thinking (kind of like with XM radio) I would be a much more loyal customer to Tomtom in the long run if they would provide their service at a better price point. My Tomtom came to me right out of the box six quarters behind in map updates and now the company requires that I spend about 60 bucks a year to stay updated. We don't use it enough to warrant spending sixty dollars a year, but the only alternative is for it to become increasingly obsolete. All of their additional pay services seem, at least to me, to also be somewhat overpriced. As to the product itself, we love it and would definitely buy the same product again and would buy refurbished from Amazon.

Great product. I'm more than satisfied with this GPS system. Even tho it's referbished i't looks brand new. Works great and with the bigger screen it's easy on the eyes.

Sonocaddie XV2 Personal Golf GPS
The palm-sized device fits easily in a shirt pocket or golf bag. |
The XV2 calculates the distance from your lie to the green. |
The benefits of the Sonocaddie XV2 are legion: It eliminates the hassle and cost of hiring a caddie; it provides accurate, unimpeachable info; it saves time on the course by calculating the distance for you, so you don't have to locate yardage markers; and its small enough to fit easily in your pocket or golf bag. The XV2, which runs for up to 10 hours on three AAA batteries, measures 2.2 by 4.05 by 1.08 inches (W x H x D).
What's in the Box
Sonocaddie XV2, Sonocaddie-to-PC serial adapter, serial-to-USB adapter, Sonocaddie-to-Sonocaddie adapter, belt clip, user's manual.
Customer Review: I returned the Sonocaddie after one day
Prior to replacing my old model SkyCaddie, I did a great deal of research on newer GPS units. On paper, the Sonocaddie XV2 came out on top, based on the type of information I was looking for from a golf GPS and the price. After receiving it, I spent an entire day attempting to download courses, without any success. On five occasions, I attempted to contact technical support, and received no responses -- online or via phone. I am not a computer novice, having been CEO of a software company for nearly 20 years, but I found this totally confounding and unacceptable. I returned the Sonocaddie after several more hours of trying to make it work and have since replaced it with the second choice from my research --a GolfLogix GPS. I'm very happy with the latter.
Customer Review: Probably OK product
Bought this as a Father's Day gift after doing online research. The good news is that my husband said I did pick the best product that he could tell, but I did pick the wrong model. This model was fairly hard to read the screen, so he is returning it and has already purchased the next model up... has a color screen which makes it easier to read.

I have used the [ASIN:B000ETTPCG Garmin 160C Portable Fishfinder (Dual Beam)]Garmin 160C several times now and find that it is quite easy to use and it works well not only locating fish but the constant depth reading has saved my boat being hung up in shallow water areas where I fish. Magellan RoadMate 1440 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator
Customer Review: A Product NO ONE should have Received from ANYONE
Magellan 1440 GPS Roadside.........Nothing functioned .....Power cable was defective and replaced. Then, the main GPS Unit did not function. It to, was replaced. But I had to pay the shoipping of the unit to their repair/replacement facility. Sorry, but why are all the 'service facility employee's from India. Langage is sometimes difficult to understand, but they were very very polite. Lots of time to finally get an operational GPS Unit.
Customer Review: OUT-OF-THE-BOX JOKE!!!
I was sooo hyped up about getting a new GPS since my old one was destroyed by someone i lent it to. (which reminds me, NEVER LEND YOUR GPS TO ANYONE! Friend or not, even if they say they'll take the best care of it. IT WILL GET RUINED, i've seen it so many times) A little off topic there but anyway, I bought this GPS after playing with a floor model in Best Buy and decided to purchase one. (I gave this product an extra star because of the nice features i saw in the floor model). When I got home I took the GPS out of the box and turned it on and planned on fiddling with all the features when....wait...something was wrong. On the map viewer it displayed "acquiring sattelite..." on the top,FOR AN HOUR!!! There was no freakin' signal, I even drove around town to see if it would pick up anything. I called tech support and they talk to you as if your an idiot. "Here's what you do" they said. "Turn and hold the power switch" oooooh, as if i dont know how to turn off a GPS! What's next, i wonder? "Now turn the switch again to power it on." OH, now we're cookin'! "Do you see a difference?" they asked. hmmm............................................................................................NOOOOO! Then they offer me to send it to them in order for them to send me a refurbished one (and not only that they said they wouldn't be able to process anything 4 days from now). WHAT?!!! I just forked out $170 and you're going to tell me i wont even get a brand new one, just another crap GPS that was sent back then "allegedly" fixed?! Wow, nice job guys you just really lowered the bar for yourselves. I was such a big magellan fan.

Garmin Edge 705 Bicycle GPS Navigator with Heart Rate Monitor
The 705 comes in three different models. The basic model comes with a heart-rate monitor and a City Navigator street map for U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. You can also get models that add a speed/cadence sensor, and a supplemental map.
The Edge 305 Screen (actual size) The larger color screen (actual size) on the Edge 605 and 705 shows you your surroundings more clearly and supports real turn-by-turn navigation. |
The Power Of Location-Based Data
Anyone who has used Garmin's original Edge 205 or 305 already understands the power that attaching location data to traditional measurements like distance, speed, time, calories burned, and heart rate can provide. Knowing exactly where you worked hardest, rode fastest (or most slowly) lets you tailor your workouts to improve to improve your riding skills for specific distances, conditions, and types of terrain. It gives a complete picture of how you interact with every portion of your ride.
Altitude is recorded using a barometric altimeter for the Edge 705. This accurate altitude data makes it much easier for cyclists to match their altitude profile with their speed, cadence, and heart rate during post-ride analysis. The Edge 605 gives a somewhat less precise altitude measurement via the GPS positioning system itself.
A First-Rate Bike Computer
The Edge 605 automatically measures your speed, distance, time, calories burned and altitude. The 705 also track your heart rate, cadence, power (from optional ANT + Sport-enabled third-party power meters), climb and descent. Other nifty features include the following.
- Virtual Partner lets you race a virtual competitor over a specified distance and speed.
- Courses let you race against a previously recorded workout, so you can compare your current and past performances over the same ride.
- Auto Pause pauses the timer when you slow down or stop and resumes when you speed up again, so you can focus on your ride.
- Customizable computer screen shows up to eight different data fields. The user may customize the display for the size and placement of the data.
- Program alerts to sound if the user strays outside the range of speed, heart rate or cadence values. Alerts can also indicate when a set amount of time or distance has passed.
- Auto Lap automatically starts a new lap each time you pass a specified location or travel a preset distance
- Click stick helps users navigate through the various options.
Both devices come pre-loaded with a built-in basemap, and a MicroSD card slot you can use to load new maps or store workout, course and ride data. Garmin has lots of street and topographic maps available for purchase and you can download courses and rides from Garmin or other riders at the Garmin Connect website.
Both feature a high-sensitivity receiver that holds a signal under trees and near tall buildings and have a click stick for easy screen navigation.
Connectivity and "ANT + Sport"
One of Garmin's most ambitious decisions has been to approach fitness devices as a total platform with their "ANT + Sport" connectivity system. All of Garmin's new fitness devices, including the Edge 605 and 705, the Forerunner 50 heart rate monitor watches, will interface wirelessly with any devices that are compatible wiht the "ANT + Sport" protocol, including devices from other manufacturers. Currently, Garmin the devices will pair with power meter from SRM or Quarq to measure power torque and cadence for each leg at the pedals which is often cited as a true indicator of an efficient ride. It's unclear what other manufacturers will buy into the ANT + Sport platform, but this kind of open connectivity with products from other companies offers a great deal of potential flexibility.
The wireless function also makes it easy to connect one Edge unit to another to share rides, courses and workout data.
Heart Rate and Cadence Monitors
The Edge 705 heart rate monitor uses a robust wireless technology that eliminates cross-talk and interference and delivers real-time heart rate data exclusively to the users device. This data is stored with each track point for post-workout analysis. The Edge 705 with speed/cadence sensor incorporates a self-calibrating, wireless speed/cadence sensor that mounts to the rear chain stay of the bicycle.
Be Part of A Community
In 2007, Garmin acquired Motion-based, the largest shared repository of customer-generated gps-based routes, courses and maps. This was a significant move for Garmin to support the gps user community and bring a wealth of route options to gps users. With a simple connection to your computer, you can join a worldwide network of cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts through Garmin Connect our new, one-stop site for data analysis an sharing.
You can also upload to optional Garmin Training Center software for further analysis. Garmin Training Center stores large quanities of workout and ride data. Some of the things you can do are
- Review your workout data, including pace/speed, distance, time, calories burned; and if available, heart rate, cadence and detailed elevation.
- View a detailed graph of your workout data, plotted over time or distance.
- View a map of your workout that shows the exact path you traveled.
- Categorize your workout history according to type of activity.
- Review previous workouts, which are saved by day and week.
- Create customized workouts with specific goals and rest intervals. Then send them to your fitness device.*
- Schedule workouts for a specific day with calendar.
- Get custom workout templates designed by the experts at TrainingPeaks.com
What's In The Box
Edge 705 gps-enabled cycling computer, heart rate monitor, City Navigator for U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico street map, bike mounts, AC charger, USB cable, Owner's manual on CD-ROM, Quick reference guide
Customer Review: Great product. Good for multi sport - cycling, hiking, running,
Great tool for recreation biking. Gradient display is quite useful while climbing mountain. Temperature display is missing. I did a 14 mile hiking in Mount Diablo with this GPS, it guided me perfectly. However I lost a cadence sensor magnet during off-road biking. I am not sure about the availability of cadence sensor magnet availability. In India, I have loaded a uncertified map "mapmyindia". To my surprise, the 'turn-by-turn- started working. Auto-Lap and Auto-Pause are great features. If someone need a nagigation, GPS for biking, walking, running, hiking just go for this device.
Customer Review: If considering, don't. Get the 705 or nothing.
This product is misleading. There is discussion on this page and Garmin's website that documents it as having features that it does not have. The fine details show that they are actually talking about the Edge 705, not the 605. If you buy this, do so knowing that the Speed/Cadence sensor does not work with this device. The heart rate sensor does not work with this device. In fact, no ANT+Sport sensors work with this device. If you want any of those features, you are looking at the wrong product. Review the Edge 705 instead. Garmin 010-00555-30 Edge 705 Bicycle Computer and GPS Navigator (Includes Heart Rate Monitor and Speed/Cadence Sensor) If you're unsure, go to Garmin's website, find this product and click on the "Compare These" link. Select the 605 and the 705 to see just how little the 605 really does.

Celestron CPC 925 StarBright XLT GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain 2350mm Telescope with Tripod and Tube
Customer Review: Poor Customer Service
My telescope arrived damaged. Not shipping damaged, but defective. I contacted Celestron and they instructed me to take the telescope apart, remove a part, and reassemble it for shipping. I had to repackage it and send it to their repair department. Their department received it on the 23rd of January and they STILL have it. It's now Feb 25th. I bought a BRAND NEW telescope and I have yet to use it. They told me that their repair department has up to 30 days to process a repair. Or what? Nothing. I call and they simply tell me that I have to keep waiting. There is a line. Wait for an email with your shipping information. No consolation prize, no rush on the repair, NOTHING. Simply, too bad, you have to wait longer. Not only that, but their customer support line services the entire world. They even tell you that when you call. So the wait time can be extremely long. If I knew this is the customer service process, I would not have bought this product. The telescope is no doubt a great one. I just wish I could have found out by now. Unacceptable customer service that I have no choice but to accept. If customer service is anywhere near the top of your list, do not buy from Celestron.
Customer Review: Terrific For Galaxy, Not Stars
The CPC 925 is very easy-to-use once it is set-up and aligned. I would recommend that any user align the finderscope during the day. The pin on the tripod is harder to hit than one might find necessary, but the set-in screws that hold the telescope to the tripod are very easy. The optics are quite good on galaxies and nebulae, but I could not get a crisp star image over three days of use. At first, I thought this lack of crispness was due to atmospheric seeing, but seeing was above average on the last night I used the scope. As a result, I looked at the corrector plate, and the coating has a bubble, swirls, and what looks like spider webs. I have decided to return the scope. Amazon.com arranged for UPS return, but I have not heard from UPS (5 business days). I hope this is resolved quickly because I want to order the Celestron CPC 8. The objects are easy to locate in the supplied Plossl eyepiece with a wide field of view. Still, the objects are always at or near the center of the field of view. I have had some odd slews; I was looking at M81 and entered M82; the objects are very close to one another (in the same eyepiece field of view at 59X), yet the telescope went all the way around to find the object. The views of Saturn are spectacular this year with the Rings nearly edge on. The Rings were quite bright, yet I could see the shadow of the Rings on the globe. I do not like the mirror flop; the image shifts whenever focus is adjusted. My older Celestron does not do this. I have been able to see all the galaxies and planetary nebulae that I have tried, and my skies are moderately light-polluted. I would like to have more lists (not necessarily from Celestron) about recommended objects. I understand the Constellation List is supposed to be quite good at pointing out recommended objects.

Customer Review: useful program
I use the software for work related business data mapping. It's easy to use. It's not a huge upgrade over the previous version.
Customer Review: Disappointed in Michigan
I was excited to get this product and ordered 3 copies for work... Unfortunately it looks like Microsoft release a Beta version. Within 20 minutes all 3 copies crashed while driving a 300 mile route together. After rebooting the program continued to crash just after using it for a few minutes... Basically it was useless. The computers are all brand new top of the line Dell 630D laptop models. The pin point did not work. And the map kept trying to reroute the preplanned route we were trying to drive for testing. Very disappointed. I do not recommend this product. Microsoft needs to do some actual testing before releasing a $300+ program. I want my money back Bill.

Customer Review: Did not fix my Garmin Nuvi 350
After reading reviews, I ordered this antenna hoping it would enable my Nuvi 350 to acquire satellites. It did not help. The Garmin Nuvi 350 still does not work at all. However, the product seems well made, and it did connect easily.
Customer Review: Works, Pure and Simple
My Garmin Nuvi 350, after about 20 months of use, suddenly became incapable of tracking satellite signals. This attaches an external antenna and now the signal is better than it ever was, including in cities where even in the best of days it would constantly lose signal. In open roads I have no less than 10 simultaneous satellites being tracked.

Garmin eTrex Vista HCx Color High-Sensitivity Mapping Handheld GPS
Adding maps to the Vista HCx is easier than ever thanks to the device's microSD card slot, which accepts cards preloaded with MapSource data for your land and sea excursions. Just insert a MapSource card with detailed street maps, and the Vista HCx will provide turn-by-turn directions to your destination. Plus, the card slot is located inside the waterproof battery compartment, so you needn't worry about it getting wet.
Besides appreciating its small size, users will also be happy with the Vista HCx's unique button layout, with five buttons located on either side of the unit. The benefits of this design are twofold: First, the Vista HCx is a breeze to operate with just one hand, and, second, with the buttons on both sides of the unit, the bulk of the front is dedicated to the 256-color, sunlight-readable TFT display. This makes it easy to distinguish map details regardless of the time of day.
The Vista HCx basemap, meanwhile, contains lakes, rivers, cities, interstates, national and state highways, railroads, and coastlines--in short, a host of helpful details for your outdoor adventures. Other details include an IPX7 waterproof housing, 1,000 waypoints with names and graphic symbols, a built-in patch antenna, a USB interface, a hunt/fish calendar, sun and moon information, and a geocaching mode. The Vista HCx, which runs for up to 25 hours on a pair of AA batteries (not included), measures 2.2 by 4.2 by 1.2 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a one-year warranty.
What's in the Box
eTrex Vista HCx, basemap, MapSource Trip & Waypoint Manager software, USB cable, wrist strap, quick start guide, user's manual.
Customer Review: Love it!
I love this little GPS. It gets signal while hanging out in my backpack, ad even locks on when I'm inside. No complaints here. If it lasts as long as my (still kicking) Garmin Legend, I won't be needing a new GPS receiver any time soon!
Customer Review: Very Nice
I bought this to replace a Garmin GPSMAP 76. The GPSMAP screen went blank after about 2 years of pretty heavy use. I am very happy with the Vista HCx. It did have trouble on startup with orienting itself. For the first few hours it had the location several miles off. I'm not sure if it fixed itself, or if I did something to get it going, but it has been working well ever since. I am very impressed with the reception, it has no problem locking on satellites under heavy tree canopies, in the car, even indoors. The battery lasts much longer than my old GPSMAP 76. The screen is small, larger would be nice, but it is OK. I like the mini SD card. A 2G card holds a detailed road map of most of North America (MetroGuide North America).

Customer Review: Magellan 4250
We recently purchased this relatively inexpensive unit prior to a trip to the west coast for use in our rental car. Cosmetically the unit is great....compact and stylish. It is easy to read even in bright sunlight, very good 'ease-of-use', and the accessories are top quality, ie. mounts, cables, etc. The voice function is excellent and easy to undestand even for an old guy with marginal hearing. That's the good. The not-so-good would be that the maps are 2+ years old and clearly out of date in some areas.....updates are rather expensive at about $80.00 from the Magellan webpage. One would think that when you buy a new GPS unit that it would have up-to-date software which brings up another point. The installed operating system software was also quite old and had to be updated (free of charge but a pain in the butt) before the AAA functions would operate. Directions are pretty easy to do this. All that being said, the unit tends to get confused easily if you take a detour or miss your turn. Had numerous instances in CA, when a freeway exit was missed, that the unit got 'lost' and would tell us to turn left instead of right even when the traffic signs said different. Overall, it's equal to or better than the 'factory' nav system in my own car which cost a whole lot more. At $185.00 it's a great deal even if it does loose its way at times. I think we all have that problem!
Customer Review: Update and traffic made it stupid
I've had this device since Feb 2008. In Dec 2008 I signed up for a one year traffic subscription and did a firmware update. I've regretted it ever since...I don't know which one did it, but it now picks completely asinine routes most of the time. When driving on the freeway, it will tell me to get off then right back on. Or go an exit short or further than it should and wind through obscure neighborhoods rather than sticking to main streets. The favorite one I've run into lately is driving through downtown Seattle on a clear freeway with the "most use of freeways" option selected for the route: it says to get off the freeway, drive six blocks through downtown away from the freeway, make a right and go for one block, then another right and go the six blocks back to the freeway to get back on it. Even in good traffic, that little detour will take 5-10 minutes. And a lot more almost any time of day. With the traffic subscription, it colors the road to indicate traffic volume (green for moving, red for stopped, etc.). However, if you have an address programmed, the line that indicates the route you are taking covers the traffic information so you can't see it at all--worthless. I clicked on every option on the device and couldn't figure out a way to change the route indicator line. I think there is one newer firmware upgrade, so I need to install that and see if it helps. There's no way I'm buying the updated 2009 maps for $ bucks. That's a good chunk of the purchase price of a new unit.

Customer Review: User Interface is Almost Useless
This is an extraordinarily bad product that makes me question my recent purchase of the Garmin 60 CSX. The problem is the extraordinarily out of date user interface. For example, in order to get directions to a specific address, the address must be specified in separate fields for the street number, the street, the city, the state, and the ZIP code. Even worse, you cannot simply type a street name but must then select from a drop-down list of every street name option in the database. In Google maps, I usually find what I'm looking for typing the street number, street name, and ZIP code and pressing enter (without regard to "Rd." or "St.", even with misspellings). in City Navigator, this requires at least five different steps and use of multiple drop down menus -- effectively making it useless for me. I give the product two stars rather than one because it is quite handy to have all the preloaded points of interest. If I am driving on the highway and would like to get something to eat, I can browse a list of restaurants near my current location and then easily have the GPS direct me there. More commonly, however, I need to find directions to a specific address, and -- despite spending nearly $500 for a device and software to do this for me in real time -- I usually use Google maps and prints the results.
Customer Review: ? A little glitchy for modern GPS software
It has all the points of interest that I am looking for and the maps are very detailed but the mapping software has some rather annoying glitches when it comes to entering addresses. You almost have to trick it with certain addresses to get them to show up while creating a route.

Navigon 3.5-Inch Premium Leather Case (Fits 3.5-Inch GPS Units from All Major Brands)
Customer Review: Garmin case
The case that comes with the unit does not have a folding flap. The unit tends to slip out and fall to the floor. We bought this case specifically to avoid this problem,...and it works. We are now drop free.
Customer Review: Nice Product
I ordered this case for my Garmin Nuvi 265T. This model has a 3.5" screen. The navigator is not snug in the case; it is easy to insert and remove. There is extra room on either side, but not enough to return the case. The materials are solid, and the flap stays closed with the magnet. I was worried that it may accidentally open since there isn't a snap, but I haven't had that problem.

TomTom Car Mount Kit for the Rider 2 Motorcycle GPS
Customer Review: Expensive but good design.
Nice way to share the TomTOM with you car. Expensive simple devise but well designed for use on a windscreen.
Customer Review: Great addition to a great product!
I purchased the TomTom Rider 2 GPS system as a Christmas gift last year for use on my boyfriends motorcycle. Since we can also use it in the car, I wanted to get him the mounting kit for auto use as well. So.... Happy Valentine's Day! I found this at a surprisingly low price, the item was shipped superfast by the seller since I needed it within a few days. I would recommend it to anyone with a GPS system, it comes in very handy when traveling alone and you are unable to hold it and drive at the same time.

"The Spirit" Movie Review
Can camp and caricatures get tiresome? Well, yeah, they can.
If that's all there is.
"The Spirit" shows that not all comic strips translate well to the big screen. Batman, recollect, had all those great toys to play off against The Joker. And Batman was blessed with consistently witty dialogue. But Frank Miller's attempt at throwing the late great Will Eisner's The Spirit onto the screen is never as large as its artwork tries to make it. His "Sin City" or a few years ago was genius; The Spirit is less so.
All the while as his gaglines are struggling for real laughs, his painted women are simply enlarged cartoons. While I'm a great fan of bizarre visual comedy on screen, I found myself getting bored with visuals whose garish artistry admittedly flowed with peak creativity in hue and calculated mood-inducing tones, but whose energy and involvement level remained disturbingly level. In a word, I kept waiting for a jolt from the visual dynamics, with which "Sin City" was replete.
And the plot? Limited intrinsic humor here. Nothing catchy about it anyway -- probably not even intended to be so -- therefore we're looking everywhere for some fun. The point in the film's letdown is obvious: On the paper comic book page, The Spirit was quite the eye-catcher, because Will Eisner's images could overflow and virtually explode off the limited cartoonists' panels. They were bigger than the print layout. On screen, however, they're smaller, and they've not been noticed for that limitation in the case of The Spirit. In his total persona, he doesn't have as much going for him as the other super-heroes.
Some historical perspective first:
Will Eisner was the most renowned comic book cartoonist of all time. While serious markets for comic books started in the 1930s (comic strips had first been known in the mid-19th century) it was Will Eisner's famous "The Spirit" that was a Sunday morning landmark of the American culture for 12 years.
On June 2, 1940, the young Eisner put together, for newspaper editors who were anxious to compete with comic books, this 7-page then 8-page strip. The Sunday supplement would soon become 16 pages and would include two more Eisner creations, "Lady Luck" and "Mr. Mystic."
But it was The Spirit which would become the provocative mainstay, featuring a Batman-like urban crimefighter, completely vulnerable to bullets and quite mortal but with derring-do action and shadowy moves with which baddies just could not compete. His alter-ego was everyday-man Denny Colt who everybody had thought was dead. The feminine interests were three: the beautiful and spirited Ellen Dolan who was daughter to the chief of police, the spirited jewel thief Sand Saref, and the sexiest woman on earth, the international bad girl P'Gell (sadly for us guys, not included in the film).
The Spirit's sidekick was Ebony White, an orphaned African American child, The Spirit's surrogate son (also not in the film).
The exploits of this masked hero -- whose base was situated under the tombstone of Denny Colt, a rookie cop who was thought to be deceased -- took place within the murky alleys of the dark, this tone very much in keeping with the dark motifs of the movies of Humphrey Bogart, George Raft and The Thin Man.
His characters in Central City were usually the little people, those overlooked as life's moments go by. And The Spirit himself seemed surrounded by the natural comedy of life, even as he was often bumped around and machine-gunned, not to say being quite perplexed by beautiful women.
But it was the style of Eisner's The Spirit that was so startling. This consummately imaginative, garishly expressive cartoonist would go on to become the chief artist of the 1951 - 58 Mad Comics (precursor to Mad Magazine). He was the first comic strip artist to let his characters and his action burst out of the strip's panel borders, surging out over the page. No one had ever entertained that idea before. Commonplace in today's comics, this was quite the innovation in his time. Eisner then went on to invent the comic book characters Uncle Sam, Blackhawk, Sheena and many others. The Eisner Award, the Oscar of the comic book industry, is named after him.
So then, "The Spirit" the movie.
His arch-enemy in this episode is the OCTOPUS (Samuel L. Jackson), a cold-hearted villain of pure destructive intent. As he seeks immortality, he sees his mission as first wiping out The Spirit's beloved Central City. The Spirit will pursue The Octopus through the deep recesses, the dark alleys, the wet and dank caverns of the night. Involved will be various sexy beauties: the ever demanding no-nonsense Ellen Dolan (Sarah Paulson), the punk, frigid and saucy secretary Silken Floss (Scarlett Johansson), the treacherous nightclub dancer Plaster of Paris (Paz Vega), the phantom siren Lorelei (Jaime King) and the sexy cop Morgenstern (Stana Katic).
Finally, and hardly the least, is The Spirit's vexing love object, Sand Saref (Eva Mendes), the world-class jewel thief, a good girl gone bad. He can save her, or she can kill him. Who knows which? (As mentioned, the ultimately sexy P'Gell, from the original comics, is not in the film.)
If you never saw "Sin City" this might be a bit of a treat for you. It's art for sure. Very flamboyant, very eccentric, with some real unusual cartoon moods of the inner city.

Benefits With a Cordless Headset
It can be frustrating to miss a call, especially a call you've been waiting for all day. If you're like most people, though, you can't just sit around waiting for the phone to ring. Consider picking up a cordless phone with a headset, so that you can wear it around the house, with your phone attached to your belt or in your pocket. When the phone rings, all you have to do is reach down to your belt and press a button on your phone to answer it and viola, just start speaking.
Professional phone workers, like work-at-home sales reps and customer service agents use cordless headset phones so that they can mind their home tasks while they are working.
Working from home is just one reason you might need to answer the phone all the time, even while you're busy with household tasks. Some people find that housework can be more bearable, even pleasurable if they're chatting with a friend while they work. Many moms have experienced being on the telephone as they're washing dishes and suddenly they get off the phone and realize that the dishes are done, so is the counter top and dinner is made. Monotonous tasks are always better when shared with a friend. In ancient cultures, women would work alongside each other at community wells, but in modern homes everyone is separated. A cordless headset is one way that technology can bring back some of that ancient wisdom.
If you are a parent whose children are busy with school and sports, or if you have family that lives far away or has medical issues, then a missed phone call can be a very big deal. If people are depending on you and aren't able to reach you then you could be letting them down. That's not very nice.
Getting everything done in the day that a modern person needs to get done is often a challenge and the telephone can be either a nuisance or a friend. We've all experienced the rush to get to the phone only to discover that it's a telemarketer. A wireless headset can reduce the amount of stress that's involved with answering the phone in a busy household. Face it, there's enough going on that communication shouldn't be stressful.
Just take a look at http://cordlessheadset.info/
Here you can find all types of cordless headsets!
